Welcome to my solo RPG journey
Why Solo Roleplaying?
For me, solo roleplaying is the perfect blend of storytelling and freedom. I’ve always been drawn to the rich narratives and immersive worlds created in different IPs—from the desolate landscapes of Fallout to the boundless possibilities of Star Wars and the magical realms of Dungeons & Dragons. Each game offers a unique canvas, and in solo play, I get to dive deep into these settings, crafting my own epic tales without needing to find a group or schedule around others. Solo RPGs let me explore these incredible worlds on my terms, where every decision shapes the story and every roll takes me deeper into the adventure.
How Does Solo Roleplaying Work?
In solo roleplaying, I’m both the player and the storyteller, but I don’t do it alone. I use the Mythic GM Emulator 2nd Edition to help guide the narrative. This tool acts as a virtual game master, allows me to use any game, introducing unexpected twists, challenges, and outcomes based on my actions and dice rolls. Instead of following a strict script, the story evolves dynamically, with the emulator creating new possibilities as I explore different worlds. This approach allows me to experience the excitement of RPGs without needing a traditional group—every session is a fresh, unpredictable adventure.
